In the same time it&#039;s one of the &quot;business models&quot; of organistations like sourceforge who propose to hire a &#039;professional&#039; just to patch, improve or fix a particular piece of open source software you need. 
Generally it&#039;s not simple users who&#039;ll be paid for that even if they arent directly involve in the target project as contributors  they are developpers, beta testers, experts or students but it&#039;s not what i consider as &#039;free developper vs paid User&#039; but &quot; gentle involved volonteers Vs  payed4coding bounty hunters&quot;
