There are people who actually climb the volcanoes around Arequipa. We were more than happy with the superb wiew from home (the roof terrace at Hostal Regis), eating our new favourite food 'papas rellenas'.

Monasterio de Santa Catalina is like a city within the city. Picturesque is an understatement.
If we had a better camera you would see the volcano in the background.
Isn't it silly with a picture of the Internet on the Internet? Anyway, it was nice to send mom a 'we're ok' mail. |
