If you don't like other tourists, don't come to Cuzco. If you do, you're in for a treat. Sure, the place is swamped with souvenir shops and tour buses, but it's also the most beautiful town we saw on our journey, especially at night when Plaza de Armas and all of the churches are lit up. We got good travel tips from other backpackers, and sometimes it's nice to read a menu in English... |
Plaza de Armas - there's one in every village, town and city.
'Gran Hostal Machu Picchu'? The taxi driver who took us here could not understand that we wanted to stay in such an old building and tried very hard to talk us out of it. But we adored it! |
