What&#8217;s good, what&#8217;s bad, what to remove and where to emphasize efforts more.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s taken me a good while to write up this analysis but hopefully the results here can be used all through the year as a reminder what people actually think and how they use curl and libcurl.<\/p>\n<p>A new question this yeas was in which continent the respondent lives, which ended up with an unexpectedly strong Euro focus:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/daniel.haxx.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/from-where-2018.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-11270\" src=\"https:\/\/daniel.haxx.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/from-where-2018-450x253.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"253\" srcset=\"https:\/\/daniel.haxx.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/from-where-2018-450x253.png 450w, https:\/\/daniel.haxx.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/from-where-2018-200x113.png 200w, https:\/\/daniel.haxx.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/from-where-2018-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/daniel.haxx.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/from-where-2018.png 876w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>What didn&#8217;t trigger any surprises though was the question of what protocols users are using, which basically identically mirrored previous years&#8217; surveys. HTTP and HTTPS are the king duo by far.<\/p>\n<p>Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/daniel.haxx.se\/media\/curl-user-survey-2018-analysis.pdf\">full 34 page analysis PDF<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Some other interesting take-aways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One person claims to use curl to handle 19 protocols!
