{"id":292,"date":"2008-02-27T13:42:12","date_gmt":"2008-02-27T12:42:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/daniel.haxx.se\/blog\/2008\/02\/27\/the-ipv6-failure-being-joined-by-dnssec\/"},"modified":"2008-05-21T20:40:27","modified_gmt":"2008-05-21T18:40:27","slug":"the-ipv6-failure-being-joined-by-dnssec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/daniel.haxx.se\/blog\/2008\/02\/27\/the-ipv6-failure-being-joined-by-dnssec\/","title":{"rendered":"The IPv6 failure being joined by DNSSEC?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In case you haven&#8217;t read it before, <a href=\"https:\/\/rip.psg.com\/~randy\/\">Randy Bush<\/a>&#8216;s 55 page PDF slide show named &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nanog.org\/mtg-0710\/presentations\/Bush-v6-op-reality.pdf\">IPv6 Transition &amp; Operational Reality<\/a>&#8221; is a harsh (but quite accurate) description of how the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ipv6\">IPv6 protocol<\/a> was made, where some of its major problems lie and why the transition is going so slow etc.<\/p>\n<p>I tried to find some official and recent figures or statements from some of the more IPv6-positive people and companies, but I failed to find much updates from after the year 2000 or so&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of network things that aren&#8217;t so successfully deployed: <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/DNSSEC\">DNSSEC<\/a>.
