Taxco

 

The old silver-mining town of Taxco is truly beautiful. Lying on a steep hillside with nothing but colonial buildings and cobbled streets, we found great views around every corner. Picturesque is an understatement.

Quite a difference from Acapulco...

Handmade silver jewelry is a major industry here and there are several hundred silver shops.
